Drills to Practice V-Cuts, L-Cuts, and Pin Downs

Now that we have covered what V-cuts, L-cuts, and pin downs are we should look into some drills which allow you to practice these crucial cuts in practice.

V-Cut
Players 1 and 2 make V-cuts and coaches make passes to the wing

Players 1 and 2 catch the ball pivot to face the basket then rip and drive to the basket.

Players 1 and 2 grab their own rebounds, pass back to coaches and go to the end of the opposite line.

Players 1 and 2 at the end of opposite lines upon completion of drill.
L-cuts
Players 1 and 2 start at baseline and make L-cuts to top of key where coaches make passes.

Players 1 and 2 pivot to face the basket rip and drive to the basket.
Players 1 and 2 grab their own rebounds and pass back to the coaches and go to the end of opposite lines.

Players 1 and 2 at the end of opposite lines at the end of drill.
Pin downs - the drill that I like for pin downs is best described in this Villanova video.  Check out the drill that Jay Wright has his team use to practice pin downs.
